Your account
Your account is where everything about your registrations lives. Sign in with the email address you registered with. There is no password.
- My courses: every course you are registered for, grouped by year, the course material where a course has it, recordings of the sessions, scholarship applications, certificates (and whether you asked for one, which you can change until it is issued), and Cancellation and refunds beside each course.
- Payments: every registration with what you paid and what is due, receipts, payment links, course credit, and adding CE credits.
- Details: your first and last name and email address.
- Help: a short tour of the account, common questions, reporting a problem with the site, and our policies.
Signing in
- Open Sign in, enter your email address and choose Email me a sign-in link.
- We email you "Sign in to ORI Training Hub", with a Sign in button and a 6-digit code.
- Choose Sign in in the email, then Continue on the page it opens. Or type the code on the Check your email page. The code is handy when you read your email on your phone but are signing in on a computer.
The link and the code each work once, for 15 minutes. If you ask again, the newer email replaces the earlier one, so use the latest. The Check your email page has Send again, and Use a different email if you typed the wrong address.
Why the extra Continue? Many work email systems (Outlook especially) open links to check them for safety, which would use the link up before you could. The Continue button makes sure it is you.
If a code is typed wrong five times, it stops working: ask for a new email. You can ask for up to five sign-in emails an hour (and up to 15 an hour from one internet connection, such as an office's). An address can take at most 20 wrong codes a day; after that, try again tomorrow or write to us at admin@orinyc.org.
New here? The same button works. Your account is made the first time you sign in.
The email has not arrived? Give it a minute, look in your spam or promotions folder, and check the address on the Check your email page. Then choose Send again.
Staying signed in
You stay signed in on a device for 90 days from your last visit. On a shared computer, choose Sign out in your account when you finish. Signing out also forgets the registration code this browser confirmed, so it cannot sign you back in.
Changing your name
Open Details, correct your first or last name and choose Save. The new spelling is used from then on, in your account, in our records and in the emails we send you. A certificate already issued keeps the name it was issued with; write to us at admin@orinyc.org and we will correct it.
Changing your email address
Change it under Details. For safety, we send a confirmation link to the new address, and until you open it you keep signing in with your current one. If the link asks you to sign in first, sign in with your current address: the change is made straight after.
Once the change is made, we email your old address to say so, in case it was not you, and you are signed out on every other device. Sign in there again with your new address.
Links from our emails
Links to your account, payments or course pages ask you to sign in if you are not already, then take you to the page the link was for.
Registered for a course already?
Sign in with the same email address you registered with, and your registrations, payments and certificates are there. If you had an account with a password before, everything in it is kept: you simply sign in by email from now on.
Registered on our previous website?
Registrations you made on our previous website are not shown in your account, and you register here as anyone new. We keep a record of them: if you need one, write to us at admin@orinyc.org.
Something not working?
If a page or button on the site does not do what it should, report the problem (it is also under Help in your account). Say what you were trying to do and what happened, and attach a screenshot if you can: choose a file, drop it on the box, or paste it straight after taking it. We are told which browser you use, so you do not need to. To keep the form free of spam, you can send up to five reports an hour.
Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your account at any time: write to admin@orinyc.org from the email address you use on this site. Your personal information is removed, your course activity is kept without your name, and your certificates of completion are deleted, so please save or print them first. This cannot be undone. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
Your privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep about you, who sees it and why. You can ask for a copy of it, or ask us to delete your account, by writing to admin@orinyc.org. To choose whether we email you special offers and news about upcoming courses, turn Send me special offers and news about upcoming courses on or off under Details in your account and choose Save. You can also unsubscribe with the link in any announcement. Either way you still receive emails about courses you are registered for.
Our policies
- Accessibility Statement, including how to ask for an accommodation
- Privacy Policy
- Terms of Use
- Non-discrimination Policy, including how to report a concern
They are also linked at the foot of every page and under Help in your account.
