Recordings of sessions

When a course is recorded, the registration form says so, and every recording goes to everyone registered, whether or not you could attend.

On a full scholarship? A full (100%) scholarship does not include the recordings, so they are not sent to you with everyone else and do not appear in your account. The course's team may send you one: it then arrives by email like any other and appears in My courses. If you need a particular recording, write to us at admin@orinyc.org. A 50% scholarship includes the recordings.

How you get them

After a session, once the video is ready, we email you a Watch the recording link. The link is personal to you and opens without signing in, so please do not forward it. If the video has a passcode, the email and the page show it.

Every recording is also in My courses, on the course's card, under Recordings.

If you register after some sessions have taken place, the recordings already sent reach you by email as soon as your registration is paid (apart from a full scholarship, as above).

If a recording does not play

YouTube and Vimeo recordings play on our page; if one does not, use Open it under the video. Recordings on Dropbox or Google Drive open in a new tab. If it still does not work, write to us at admin@orinyc.org.

How long they are available

Recordings stay available unless the course says otherwise; if one has an end date, it is shown on the recording. If you are making up a session you missed, its recording stays open to you until your reflection is approved (see Finishing a course). They are for people registered on the course: if you withdraw, or your registration is refunded in full, the recordings are no longer available to you.

Questions

The link says the recording is not available. It may have passed its end date, or the registration it belongs to may have been withdrawn or refunded. On a full scholarship, it says so when the recording has not been sent to you. If you think that is a mistake, write to us at admin@orinyc.org.

I cannot find the email. Look in your spam or promotions folder for "Recording:" in the subject, or open My courses: every recording you can watch is listed there.

Can I download a recording? Only where the video's own service allows it (Dropbox and Google Drive usually do; YouTube and Vimeo usually do not).

Can I share it with a colleague? Please do not: the link is personal, and recordings are for people registered on the course. A colleague can register for the course, or you can give them a place as a gift.
